How long is the BATS Groupon offer good for?
BATS will honor Groupon tickets bought in July 2010 through January 14, 2011.
Does my Groupon guarantee admission?
Your chances of getting into most shows are generally very good but admission is not guaranteed. BATS Improv’s Bayfront Theater seats approximately 200 people. Priority seating is first given to audience members who bought tickets specifically for that show via our website or a discount ticket site. We also set aside a limited number of seats for walk ups paying full price. Admission for Groupon ticket holders is then based on a first-come, first-served, space-available basis.
How early should I arrive?
Showtime is 8pm, and doors open at 7:30pm. Prior to 7:30, there may be a sign-in sheet available to track Groupon ticket holders and let you know as early as possible if there will be space for you.
Can I reserve seats ahead of time?
Reservations for Groupon ticket holders cannot be taken ahead of time. BATS seating is general admission so there are no individually reserved seats. Nevertheless, in most cases, Groupon ticket holders have a very good chance getting in to see the show.
What if I forget my Groupon ticket?
Groupon users must present their proof of purchase for the offer to be honored. If you forgot your ticket, you may purchase a full-price ticket (around $20) at the door if any are available. Sorry, no exceptions.
I purchased four tickets on Groupon. Does that mean I can go to four shows?
Yes. You can spread your tickets out if you wish. Please be sure to tell our box office person checking you that you are planning to come back and redeem your unused Groupons.
How do I know what show BATS is doing on a certain night?
Check our show calendar at http://www.improv.org/Box-Office/Performance-Schedule.aspx. We perform 50 weekends a year, on Friday and Saturday nights. We usually plan our performances two to three months in advance, and descriptions of these shows are posted on line.
Are Groupon Tickets redeemable at all BATS shows?
Your Groupon tickets are redeemable at most shows except those listed when you purchased:
New Year’s Eve, Theatresports Finals, Valentine’s Day, SF vs LA Theatersports and special guest shows, such as 3 For All, Jane Austen and True Fiction.
I bought Groupon tickets in November 2009. Are they still redeemable?
Tickets bought in 2009 expired June 2010 and are no longer accepted for admission. However, as a special offer, BATS will give expired Groupon holders $5.00 off the regular ticket price. You must bring in the expired ticket to get the discount. This is a limited special offer and may be canceled without notice.
