John's first professional improv gig was way back in 1982 when he joined the long-running Flash Family. More recently, John has played with SNAFU, Those Improv Guys, and the acclaimed True Fiction Magazine.

John has also appeared in numerous unscripted play-length hits, such as the soap opera send-up Liquid Soap, the semi-scripted Bar None, the Rocky-style Underdog, and the doctor drama Emotional Hospital, which he also directed and produced. John first played with the BATS Improv Sunday Players in 2001 and joined the Company in 2004.

In addition to performing, John has been teaching improv for twenty years. He has written, directed and performed in dozens of industrial shows for such clients as the S.F. Giants, Apple Computers, and Microsoft. He also appears in the upcoming independent sci-fi comedy Welcome Space Brothers. John is a San Francisco native, a pretty good etch-a-sketch artist, and an attorney in his spare time.
