How to Get to BATS Improv

BATS Improv is located in the Bayfront Theater at Fort Mason Center, Building B on the third floor.

The entrance to FMC is at the intersection of Marina Blvd and Buchanan St., across from the Marina Safeway. (FMC is located between Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge on San Francisco Bay.)

FMC does not have a street address other than "Fort Mason Center" so for online driving directions, use "Marina Blvd At Buchanan St" as your destination. This will direct you to the front entrance.

FROM THE EAST BAY
Bay Bridge to Fremont Street Exit; on Fremont (100 yards north)
Right on Howard (first right off of exit)
Left onto Embarcadero and go 2 miles
Left onto Bay and go 2 miles
Right on Buchanan
Cross Marina Blvd. and take a sharp right into Fort Mason Center

FROM THE NORTH BAY
Take the Golden Gate Bridge (US 101)
Head toward San Francisco and Exit at Marina Boulevard
Go 1.5 miles to Buchanan
Left into Fort Mason Center (make an immediate right toward FMC parking)

FROM THE SOUTH BAY / PENINSULA
Take US 101 North to the 9th Street Exit
Exit at 9th St.
Take 9th Street across Market St.
Left onto Hayes St.
Right onto Franklin St.
Left onto Bay St.
Right onto Buchanan St.
Cross Marina Blvd. and take a sharp right into Fort Mason Center

Parking
Enter at the intersection of Buchanan Street and Marina Boulevard. Make a sharp right to park in the Center or a left to park along the Marina Green. Paid parking within the Fort Mason Center gates was implemented on June 1, 2006. For more information about paid parking, click here. Parking outside the gates of the Center and along the Marina Green continues to be free.

Several bus (MUNI) lines stop close to Fort Mason Center:

* 10 Townsend (comes from the Financial District)
* 22 Fillmore (comes from Portrero Hill, up allong Fillmore, stopping just a few blocks away)
* 28 - 19th Avenue (comes from SFSU and stops right outside the FMC gates)
* 30 Stockton
* 47 Van Ness (comes straight up Van Ness, stopping just a few blocks away)
* 49 Van Ness/Mission (comes straight up Van Ness, stopping just a few blocks away)
* 82x Presidio/Wharves Express
