Improvisation
can have a positive impact on students both on- and off-stage.
Workshops help...
* Improve verbal expression
* Enhance listening skills
* Build body awareness
* Increase interpersonal intelligence
* Boost self-confidence
Since
1986, BATS has taught thousands of satisfied students from
all over the Bay Area, throughout the U.S., and from as
far away as Australia, Europe, and Japan. BATS is one of
the world’s most well-respected schools of improvisational
theatre.
Classes provide individual attention from experienced coaches
who have worked with youth and teen improvisers for many
years. Led by BATS Company Player Laura Derry, the week
includes guest coaches and other surprises. All classes
are held in a professional performing space--the 200-seat
Bayfront Theater.
The BATS summer session is always popular and has sold-out
in previous years, so we strongly encourage you to register
early. There is a discount if you register for both sessions.
