Student Shows

Our student shows present the talented new improvisers from the BATS School of Improv. Many Sundays, our students hone their craft during Student Showcases, Sunday Cave Matches, Theatresports™ Tournaments, and other special shows.

You’ll see a fun show featuring the next generation of San Francisco improv! And though it may be true that our student improvisers are not as experienced as our Main Stage Company members, rough around the edges also means fresh and innovative. Catch tomorrow’s stars on stage at BATS. You’ll be saying you ‘saw them when . . . ’

Student Showcases

Our Student Showcases each feature an ensemble of BATS students who have been training together with a coach on performing a specific genre or format.

Cave Match

Our Sunday Cave Matches feature ensembles that are a mix of students, company members, and coaches. Each team has 1/2 of the show to do whatever they like. At the end of the night the audience votes on their favorite ensemble. The winner is crowned champion and returns to face a new challenger the following week. Want to join in?
