The BATS Communities of Color Scholarship is now accepting applications on a rolling basis!

Please fill out this application form with your information and the class you’d like to attend.
You can see all our class listings, in-person and online, here.
If you have any questions or difficulties filling out the form, please let us know at bats@improv.org. We hope to make the application process as accessible as possible.

The BATS Communities of Color Scholarship, generously funded by an anonymous donor, was established in 2019 to make the BATS community more accessible for traditionally underrepresented communities of color. The BATS Scholarship Program offers full and partial tuition for BATS classes, based on funding criteria. See the terms and conditions below for more details about our application process.

Scholarship Terms and Conditions

Eligibility Requirements
You must be 18 or older to apply for Adult scholarships. We may also have Youth scholarships available, which will specify their age requirements.

Applications are open on a rolling basis for any BATS School of Improv class listed on our website, unless otherwise stated. Application is via an online form, and completing the form will enter you for all scholarships for which you may be eligible. There may be multiple scholarships available with varying eligibility criteria.

The award of any scholarship is at BATS Improv’s discretion. Applicants may not be awarded more than one scholarship at a time. Scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply again after previously awarded funds have been used and their class has been completed. No cash equivalents are available. Scholarships are not transferable. Scholarship recipients will receive a discount code for the value of their award and are responsible for registering online for an eligible BATS class within one year. Scholarship recipients are subject to the same cancellation and eligibility policies are all BATS students. Scholarship recipients are responsible for their own financial reporting. BATS Improv has the right to revoke scholarships if we discover incorrect or misleading information was provided by the recipient.
